North Bellmore is a suburban hamlet and census-designated place located in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, New York, within the Town of Hempstead. Situated directly north of Bellmore, the two are often referred to collectively as "The Bellmores." North Bellmore offers a primarily residential environment with well-regarded public schools in the North Bellmore Union Free School District for elementary grades and the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District for secondary education.
