Oak Beach and Captree are two distinct communities located on the barrier islands off the South Shore of Long Island, New York. Historically, they were sometimes grouped together for census purposes as "Oak Beach–Captree," but are now separate.

Oak Beach is a small residential community in the Town of Babylon, Suffolk County, situated on Jones Beach Island. It's known for its beachfront homes and more secluded atmosphere.

Captree occupies Captree Island and the eastern end of Jones Beach Island, spanning the towns of Babylon and Islip in Suffolk County. It is home to Captree State Park, a significant recreational area known for its large fishing fleet and access to the Great South Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
